Art Titles That Evoke Feelings: A Creative Guide. Tips for artists.
One of the creative paths is making a name to your artwork.
According thinker Aristotle there are five main senses. They are hearing, seeing, touching, smelling and tasting… and poets add one more, a sense of beauty.
Well, let’s start from a name for an artwork.
It should trigger one sense or imaginary few of them:)
Example is one of my painting’s name Floral Jewels, linked with flowers’ beauty, treasure, joy, dream or maybe plum?:)

or my next Watercolour artwork named Waltz of flowers. It releases emotions like a swirling couple at the ballroom, conjuring images of delicate petals dancing gracefully through the air.
The rhythm, ballet, or maybe lace influence it. Each brushstroke intertwines with the vibrant hues. Together they create a visual symphony that captivates the viewer.
The scene evokes a sense of joy and elegance. It invites the audience to lose themselves in the beauty of nature’s transience. Each flower embodies a fleeting moment of bliss. This is much like a fleeting glance shared between dancers under soft, twinkling chandeliers.

The name and image of an artwork significantly affect the viewer’s emotions. They help release feelings and encourage self-reflection. A thought-provoking title paired with the artwork prepares viewers to connect with it on a personal level.
It often guides their interpretations and emotional responses. Additionally, the visual elements within the artwork, ranging from color palettes to composition, further enhance this emotional resonance. By engaging with the art on both an intellectual and emotional level, viewers can experience a cathartic release.
This engagement allows them to confront feelings that have been otherwise suppressed. It also helps express emotions that have been ignored. In this way, art serves as a powerful medium for emotional exploration and connection.
